Danfos Safety System

The majority of load limiters on the market do not have any kind of safety cut-out device, if the microswitch were to break down, the operator would not know and would continue working without the aid of the limiter, so with the risk of exceeding the load limit of the winch with all the ensuing negative consequences that this would bring.

On DANFOS limiters this cannot happen because of our patented intrinsic safety device, the DSS (Danfos Safety System) which, thanks to a special electromechanical mechanism, permanently controls the limiter to ensure the safety of the lifting system. This milestone has been reached by developing the project known as “Safety component for rope lifting systems” which was begun as far back as 1980.
